Golf in Ponte Vedra Beach, handled end to end.

Home of THE PLAYERS. Yours for a week.

Ponte Vedra Beach is where the PGA TOUR lives, and the golf is open to you: a four-night stay at the Sawgrass Marriott — the official resort of TPC Sawgrass — carries one round on THE PLAYERS Stadium Course, home of the island-green 17th, and two on Dye's Valley, with starting times confirmed at reservation.

The case

Why build a golf trip around TPC Sawgrass?

Because Pete Dye built the Stadium Course in 1980 as the permanent home of THE PLAYERS Championship — the PGA TOUR's own flagship event, run here since 1982 — and because resort guests at the Sawgrass Marriott hold what TPC itself calls privileged access to its tee sheet.

Deane Beman commissioned it, Pete Dye built it, and Alice Dye supplied the idea everyone remembers: an island green on the 17th. The PGA TOUR runs its headquarters from the property, THE PLAYERS has never left, and every March the most familiar closing stretch in tournament golf plays out here — which is precisely why playing it yourself lands differently than watching it.

The honest scope of this page: our Sawgrass package is live and bookable, and ArriveGolf has not yet hosted a group week on the First Coast. Facts here are TPC's and the public record's; the package adds the rooms, the confirmed starting times, and a concierge who has already read the fine print.

The courses

What are the Stadium Course and Dye's Valley like to play?

The Stadium Course is Dye at maximum theater — stadium mounds, water on the famous holes, and the island-green 17th followed by a lake-hugging 18th — while Dye's Valley, by Pete Dye and Bobby Weed with Jerry Pate consulting, is the quieter, water-lined sibling that has hosted its own tour finals since 1987.

The 17th is a short iron over open water with no bailout, and it has been rearranging scorecards and reputations since 1982. But the Stadium round is more than its postcard: the mounds that gave stadium golf its name, the angles Dye cut against every instinct, and a closing 18th that may be the hardest par of your year.

Dye's Valley carries two of your three rounds, and that is not a consolation. It hosted the Web.com Tour Championship from 2013 through 2015 and the 2020 Korn Ferry Challenge, water shadows its routing hole after hole, and it plays like a course that knows its sibling gets the cameras — sharper than it needs to be, quieter than it deserves.

The calendar

How does THE PLAYERS Championship affect a trip here?

The 2027 PLAYERS runs March 9–14 at the Stadium Course, and our package simply does not offer arrivals priced into that window — March 10–14, 2027 is unbookable, and the weeks around it carry the season's highest rates. Across the rest of the calendar, the tournament's home course is open to package dates, subject to availability.

There is a strategy in the calendar: play it in the weeks before the tournament and the course you walk is the one being tuned for television — grandstand bones going up, rough tightening — or come in the softer seasons and take the same holes at gentler rates. Either way the 17th does not get easier, which is rather the point.

The arrival

How do you get to Ponte Vedra Beach and around it?

Jacksonville International (JAX) is the gateway airport, and this package keeps the ground game yours: airfare, transfers, and meals are on your own, with the Sawgrass Marriott's seven restaurants and lounges on property and a complimentary shuttle to its oceanfront Cabana Beach Club on Ponte Vedra Beach.

The geography is compact once you arrive: the resort sits at 1000 TPC Blvd, across the lagoon from the courses, with the Atlantic about a mile from the Stadium fairways. Four pools, a twenty-thousand-square-foot spa, and the beach club shuttle fill the non-golf hours without a car doing much work — most guests rent one anyway for the drive from JAX and the freedom after.

The stadium

TPC Sawgrass — The Players Stadium Course

Pete Dye built the first stadium course here in 1980 — mounds for the crowds, water for the stars — and THE PLAYERS has never left. The island-green 17th, an idea credited to Alice Dye, is the most replayed par 3 in the game, and the 18th along the lake may be the hardest closer you face all year. Your package plays it once, the way the pros see it, grandstands or not.

The other Dye

TPC Sawgrass — Dye's Valley Course

Dye's Valley is the round the locals tell you not to skip: Pete Dye and Bobby Weed, with Jerry Pate consulting, threading water down eleven of eighteen holes. It has hosted Korn Ferry Tour finals and plays every bit the examination its neighbor is, without the grandstands. Two of your three package rounds happen here — by the second, you'll have opinions.

Good questions

Common questions about golf in Ponte Vedra Beach

Can resort guests really get on THE PLAYERS Stadium Course?
Yes — that is the point of the Sawgrass Marriott partnership. TPC's own material describes the resort as the way to stay at the Home of THE PLAYERS, with privileged tee-time access for guests, and our package carries one Stadium round plus two on Dye's Valley with starting times confirmed at reservation.
Is Dye's Valley just a filler course before the Stadium round?
No. It is a Pete Dye and Bobby Weed design with Jerry Pate consulting, opened in 1987, and it has hosted the Web.com Tour Championship and Korn Ferry Tour events in its own right. Water lines most of its routing, and many groups leave arguing it was the more instructive of the two examinations.
Why can't I book Sawgrass during March 10–14, 2027?
Because that is THE PLAYERS week — the 2027 championship runs March 9–14 at the Stadium Course — and package rates were not offered for those arrival dates. The bands on either side of the tournament are the year's most expensive; autumn and early winter arrivals price meaningfully lower.
Does the Sawgrass package include meals or transfers?
No — airfare, airport transfers, and dining are on your own for this trip. Jacksonville International (JAX) is the gateway, the resort keeps seven restaurants and lounges on its 63 acres, and the oceanfront Cabana Beach Club is a complimentary shuttle ride away on Ponte Vedra Beach.
