The legend

Teeth of the Dog

Designed by Pete Dye.

Seven holes carved along the Caribbean Sea.

Pete Dye laid Teeth of the Dog along the La Romana coast in 1971, and it has been the Caribbean’s benchmark ever since. Seven holes play hard against the sea, close enough for spray on the wind, and the world top-100 lists have carried it for decades.
