Von Hagge cut these fairways through the Playacar jungle in 1994, and three decades of growth have turned every corridor into a commitment: narrow lines, doglegs that hide the landing area, small greens, water where you'd rather it wasn't. The wildlife is part of the round, with coatis patrolling the ropes, and the Caribbean sits a few hundred yards beyond the trees.
